To create out of the void

  a line along whose circle turns

  all others

     enclosing

     within that point

     its growth:

 

               A feather

               falling through still air.

 

Or to reverse that equation

  of emotion at bay,

     return

     the impulse

     to which

     their opposite seeks:

 

               A distant point

               slowly growing.

 

Neither the audience nor the actor

  need define the other energy

  which they have become:

     all planets,

     all stage:

 

               Fright of the unknown,

               and promise.
